Everything wrong with 'Baahubali 2 : The Sedimentation'

(Honest Review) SPOILER ALERT!

Okay, just like every mainstream Indian citizen I went and watched the movie. Its now 'The Movie' in India. I genuinely didn’t give a rat’s ass about why Kattapa killed Baahubali. I however wanted to see the epic fight sequence and the use of CGI. After the horrible Plaster of Paris bull CGI in BB1 I was prepared for more, but, -_- , to my surprise the pOp bull was a teaser to what you get to see in BB2, epic-transformer-ship-cum-flying-swan-shaped-sails-becoming-wings-clouds-dance-drums, WOOOOT!!! O.o There only so little the human mind can endure. Doped DOP, I want what the DOP was high on when he thought of that scene. But wait there is more, after Amarendra Baahubali's demise his son Mahendra Baahubali took all his physical features but not his super CGI capabilities nor his super analytical, logical reasoning skills. He went on to a more flash version, retarded bouncer brain with absurd trade of thought. One particular scene where Kattapa asked Mahendra baahubali to think like his father (end scene) and not be a hot headed idiot, he did this amazing thing where he flung his troops using palm trees like a catapult and landed on the frekin' inner curtain wall of the fort perfectly (f**k physics, just f**k it).

One thing is certain, everyone in the Kingdom of Mahishmati has meta-human strength. I get it, that they curled up in circles with their shields to lessen the impact and save themselves form projectiles but some landed on their feet, like human boulders they were breaking huge chunks of castle wall.  I think S S Rajamouli just gave up there; Swan-Ship was Creativity max, this was just too pathetic. The visuals are fantasy and unreal, its beautiful, the epic Baahubali death stab shot is just perfect, the visualisations are just too perfect and i don’t like things too perfect, because when it gets too perfect you can’t relate to it or feel the emotions, flawlessness leads to deceit. It looked as if he was posing for the camera in every shot of the movie. Same goes for  Devasena, she is an attention *hore. I mean just, plain show off by everyone in the movie. And then there is another epic stupid character, Sivagami. Two words - HER EYES, period. The dumbest lady in Mahishmati. Vachan Hi hain Sashan ke naam pe pura rajyaa jala dala. Can we give her a squatting ovation? Pleaj. -_- I get it, Kshatriya and all, they are known for their zubaan, even if baad mein bolne ke layak na rahe. I mean what vachan and what sashan if you don’t have your people to rule. Sivagami just puts icing on the cake with her epic decisions.

Then there is Karan Johar, he tweeted and I quote 'When the MONDAY behaves likes day 1...it's no longer a cinema celebration it's a cinema revolution! Monday ( Hindi) at 40.25!!! #Baahubali2' . Revolution, bullshi*, i don’t think so. But I agree, Indian cinema will spend much more on good story lineup and visuals/DOP from this day forward. Epics go a long way, a Mahabharata and/or Ramayana remake or just any mythological Indian subculture movie will do great in the Indian context. We love it. I admit. But a little more detailing and aesthetics is still missing. What Bahubali does deliver is the art, cliché romance and a blood pumping scenes. One scene in particular was when people cheered more for Baahubali during the crowning ceremony of Bhalla. That was the only scene which really made my time & money worth. Overall, it’s an 'okay' movie.  Over-hyped, too easy to rant about and a little appealing. Mostly because of the grandeur nature and wide angle shots.

Rating - 1.732/5

Recommendations - Definitely watch it, I mean it only religious to be mainstream.
